Both effective, but with very different ingredients.
Whilst this list doesn't belong to any brand in particular, these are the types of ingredients often seen. You have a choice about what you put on your body; and being informed about the products you use involves learning to read labels. But there is no need to make it too complicated! A couple simple things to consider: If you’re finding it hard to decipher a long list of ingredients without having to consult someone with a PhD in chemistry, chances are your body might struggle with it too! Whilst fewer ingredients isn’t always best, I tend to say keep it simple. Our skin absorbs about 60% of what we put on it, so the less chance of harmful ingredients you put on, the better Ingredients are listed in descending order, starting with the largest amount. You will often find ‘aqua’ at the top - Water. Whilst there is nothing wrong with water in products, it a) does not penetrate the skin and b) means the product must contain a preservative (e.g. parabens: Methyl-, Ethyl- or Propylparabens) and usually also emuslifiers. Many expensive creams and lotions are 70+% water, thus when you add in the preservatives and emulsifiers, the percentage of active ingredients (the reason you bought the product in the first place) is actually very low!

Natural and flawless skin has become one of my greatest passions. Six years ago I completely stopped using foundation. It was a difficult thing to get used to my own skin, but with the right skincare and diet, my skin has never looked this good.
Elysian Therapies has build a foundation on natural skincare (not to be mistaken for organic, this is a topic I will cover on my blog @elizeaboutbeauty) I want to help women to feel comfortable in their own skin without feeling the need for heaps of make-up and harsh products to reverse the negative effects of make-up. If you haven’t tried one of our facials, I encourage you to start your natural skincare journey here @elysiantherapies
