The current UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor recently posted on his Instagram that he offered to step in against Frankie “The Answer” Edgar for UFC 222 after Max Holloway dropped out due to injury. The Notorious Conor McGregor also stated he will definitely fight again. While a match between Conor and Frankie would set the world on fire, it is curious to see that Conor has not explicitly mentioned any push to defend his belt against the current Interim UFC Lightweight Champion Tony Ferguson who is headlining UFC 223. Understandably Ferguson has expressed significant frustration with the current UFC lightweight championship situation.
Conor’s presence on any fight card in 2018 will be a major part of the UFC’s effort to secure its next big TV and distribution deal. It will be interesting to watch how Conor McGregor’s MMA presence, or lack thereof, affects the UFC’s numbers in 2018. .
#lutas#leve#combate#mma#ufc#porrada
