Today, Google changed their logo in honor of Zhou Youguang, a Chinese linguist credited with reforming the Chinese language and developing Pinyin, the romanization of Mandarin/Standard Chinese. In addition to this, he wrote 40+ books, many of which were critical of the government and of which 10 were published after his 100th birthday. He lived to be 111 years old. Today (1/13/18) would have marked his 112th birthday. #china#zhouyouguang #

Portrayed as "the father of Pinyin", or Chinese phonetic dialect, and hailed as the man who streamlined Chinese, Zhou Youguang would have been 112 this Saturday.
In this respect, Google is changing its logo in 12 nations to a doodle, or delineation, of him and his commitment to Chinese dialect.
This is his story:
Love for China "Convey light to the world". #ZhouYouguang http://www.newmagazinnews.com/zhou-youguang-why-google-honours-him-today/
