The movie wasn't perfect, but it was decent, some moments dragged a bit, but some of the comedy fit very well, I liked the character development from everyone, kevin hart and jack black I found the funniest in this movie, the visuals worked out, but like I said, it's not perfect, but it works and its fresh, I give it a 7/10 #jumanjiwelcometothejungle#jumanji#jumanjimovie
Before starting with a great (hopefully) slew of movies coming this year, I have to finish with the last one. Those 3 movies weren't prefect, or the best, and are not in my top 10 of the year, but good enough to be discussed. So... #JusticeLeague was a mess, but an enjoyable and exciting mess. I was one of the few who enjoyed it for what it was, but I have to admit that I'm a big fan of DC characters and its stories, so I am a little bias. Of course I realised of the big mistakes that hinder the potential of this movie (I could have earned easily $1B!). From the CGI moustache to the by the numbers villain, the cliche comicbook story and the tone (especially the tone). Anyway It was fun to see the characters and the world of DC coming to life at the big screen.
#TheLastJedi was another entertaining film, but one that I forgot the minute I got home. Yes, it has some impressive and really good scenes, particularly from a technical perspective. But then, not being a #StarWars fan myself, the story and the characters, for the most part weren't as interesting as they could be, since it had at its disposal a lot of great elements form the past and new creative ones. Maybe the film focused some valuable time in the wrong places, that ended up losing momentum. I guess because I watched it in #IMAX, it added to the experience, and the film didn't felt like a total disappointment. #Jumanji, the new one with The Rock. It really surprised me for what it was: a very good comedy with a great cast, great team chemistry, really funny jokes, good CGI and a clever premise with a good execution. That's how a comedy or videogame movie is supposed to be (or for that matter any film): a film that knows itself and plays itself smartly. I recommend it 🤣. At the end 2017 was a mixed bag, but I enjoyed it a lot. And thanks to some reviews(ers) I could avoid for the most part the awful films. Looking forward to this 2018.
