^Throw back to last Friday when I started lifting past my own weight, a new PB 10 rep max Deadlift @ 55kg - (watch till the end #soundon just a little proud)
_Focusing on form first always and even then trying to keep my back straight and core engaged on those last cpl proved to be a bit of a struggle Laugh it off and try better next time is about all we can do
<Any progress is good progress no matter how little, its all about being consistent!
We are all different!
Don't let that stop you from trying a little of everything and finding what works for you!
Nobody else but YOU!
One of the hardest things I have ever done. Another 10RM Back Squat, this time resulting in a Lifetime PR though @ 130kg/286#. After rep 5, I was legitimately seeing stars. After rep 6, I wanted to rack it so bad. I mustered up rep 7 and thought, just get to 8 and call it. Nailed 8 and thought, you’re going to quit with two reps to go??? With all of the breath and strength I could, I had to fight for those last two reps, but I got them. Song credit to our hometown hero Daryle Singletary and #TooMuchFun. Daryle tragically passed away yesterday at the young age of 46. I grew up knowing this guy was just a country boy like me from the small town of Cairo. This song kept me going tonight, no doubt about it. @freakathleteapparel @wrhsmike41 @masheliteperformance @mbslingshot @thepowermagazine @marksmellybell #ontheplatform#inthegarage#fitness#powerlifting#garagegym#10repmax#backsquat#training#darylesingletary
Some of the things that COULD go wrong while lifting weights and what to do #FIRST have a workout partner. Having a spotter when lifting heavier than what your typical "heavy" is IS VERY IMPORTANT. Never lift alone when going for a max weight lift/ push/pull. #SECOND always make sure your feet are grounded. Keeping your feet on the ground gives you leverage for any push or pull exercise not to mention also keeps you balanced giving you more strength. #THIRD in case you don't follow the first two safety tips know your outlet. Before you lift visualize your escape method to drop the weight away from your body and safely remove yourself from the situation. *These are some suggestive tips while #LiftingHeavy speak to a #PersonalTrainer for more information and HAVE A SAFE LIFT #HopeThisHelps#Yes#ThisReallyHappened#RemoveWeight#TryAgain#Lift#Live#Learn#Grow#10repMax#Almost#52kgBW#USAPL#43kg#95lbs#DeclineBench
