I have to give it up to @asanarebel
I have been trying to incorporate yoga into my everyday practice but the studios here do not have a schedule that fits my crazy life
However I was not going to let two jobs, a business, school, a blog, and kids get in the way
Their yoga app makes it so easy to get yoga into your life!
There are programs for every level that are easy to follow and very effective!
For those of you who are always on a go this is perfect! I highly recommend it🧘♀️

At Crossfit, at least for the time being, I work through not having some of the machines I'm fond of at the GloboGym. I will change that in due time.
But I still hit body parts directly, still program specific body part training to my athlete's. And this is one of my favorite finishers for back and rear delts:
4x10 Pullups - as strict as possible (OMG a Crossfitter doing Strict Pullups and not flailing around like a monkey with a shock collar on full blast!! Yeah, we do these. A lot.)
4xMax Banded Face Pulls (mimicking use of a pec-deck at the gym with the rope)
To my lady friends— do you know about progesterone? Did you know that progesterone is a hormone made by an endocrine gland (the corpus luteum) which ONLY forms after the egg is released from a follicle. The leftover follicle develops into a fully functioning gland in less than a day! (Holy crap, our bodies are awesome)
You can only get progesterone if you ovulate, because it is made by the corpus luteum. After the egg is released, the corpus luteum forms and produces progesterone for 10-16 days. If you are on any form of hormonal birth control (the pill, mirena IUD, implants, etc)— you do not ovulate and you do not have progesterone. End of story. You might as well stop reading 🤷🏼♀️
Progesterone (which I have likely NEVER had, because I didn’t ovulate for 11 years)— is a freaking miracle hormone. It prevents breast cancer, boosts thyroid hormone, reduces inflammation, builds muscle, promotes sleep, protects against heart disease, and calms the nervous system making it easier to cope with stress. (It could also be the reason the pill causes anxiety/depression because you aren’t making any progesterone).
This information has been revolutionary for me and it’s been on my heart to share with as many females as possible. Please please please feel free to reach out to me, or at the very least, follow @larabriden
Knowledge is power my friends, educate yourself!!!
In case you didn’t know, we get a little crazy sometimes. #thatwasabigone#holyshit. @jamesstrickland @kevinfurnesstattoo @mr.aidencole @chadodeyoung

Don't Blame It on the a a a a a Alcohol
It's the weekend babyyyy and Memorial weekend at that. I'll be at the pool surrounded by friends and family. The grill will be lit and the drinks will be flowing like the salmon of capistrano
Health and fitness is a priority in my life but that doesn't mean I won't be enjoying myself
But how can someone gulp down those adult beverages and stay on track towards their fitness goals?
Well, at the end of the day it all comes down to total calories consumed (that's everything you eat AND drink)
And alcohol has calories, 7 calories per gram to be precise
So on a day where I know I'll be enjoying some brew-skis means I'll have to eat a little less. I'll still hit my protein goal for that day but I'll make sure I don't go over my daily calorie limit
Not only will I get to enjoy the weather and the people I'm be surrounded with but I'll be able to indulge in some delicious drinks and stay right on track
What are you looking forward to this weekend???
