Chocolate Protein Balls
Shout out to @amy__currie for this recipe! The ones I made are a little different from hers. I didn’t have the same flavor protein, and I didn’t have quick oats. But I made it work, and damn these are a tasty treat for when that sweet tooth kicks in. .
•1/2 Cup Almond Butter (or peanut butter)
•1/2 Cup Almond Milk (coconut or cashew Milk)
•3 Tablespoons Cacao powder (unsweetened)
•3/4 Cup Old Fashion Oats
•3 Scoops Level-1 Vanilla Ice Cream Protein Powder (free shipping link in bio)
•3 Tablespoons Mini Chocolate Chips
•Heat up almond butter for 20-30 seconds in microwave
•Add milk and stir until combined
•Add protein powder and cacao powder and mix till dough is formed
•mix in chocolate chips
•Let dough sit in fridge for 20-30 mins
•Roll into 9 balls

REALITY CHECK: There are going to be times when you’ll find yourself “down in the dumps” no matter how certain you are about; what it is you want, how you’re pursuing it, and where you expect it to lead. This passed week, I experienced what I thought was a lack of motivation but realized that I was just overwhelmed from the amount of transitioning. After spending a whole week in bed and remaining distant from the people close to me, I grew a stronger conscious to my want, my reason, along with my purpose. I drew “the line in the sand”, said this is enough, and got up screaming “I’m fucking done”. Because my want is more important than the sacrifices. It’s just what winners do!
