BOOK 10 - BRIDES OF DIABLO: UNLAWFUL LOVE - MABEL will be CHOCK FULL OF ACTION and SUSPENSE! The book centers around a Serial Killer in Oakmont, Texas. I won’t be posting who it is - you’ll have to buy/read the book to find out. But you may be able to guess from the scenes that I do post. There will also be subplots of Eustacia’s and Oliver’s baby’s upcoming birth, Mabel’s upcoming move to Alaska and an earthquake there, a Mexico earthquake (lots of FREAKIN’ earthquakes!), a Super Blue Blood Moon, and flashback scenes involving Mabel’s BELOVED Abuela Carolina - modeled after Betty White. Yes, a Mexican Betty White! 🤠 #SerialKiller#SerialKillers#Alaska#AlaskaEarthquake#Mexico#MexicoEarthquake#SuperBlueBloodMoon#BettyWhite#MexicanBettyWhite
These Are #DevilsHole#pupfish. Believe it or not, they felt that powerful quake off Alaska’s coast on Monday. Crazy, right? Story at latimes.com/travel (photo by @nationalparkservice) @deathvalleynps #outdoors#alaskaearthquake
In light of today's tsunami warning, I would like to showcase something I believe everyone should invest in. I take great pride in emergency preparedness. This is my Survival/earthquake kit. It has enough supplies to last me 72 hours. In it includes shelter, food, water and purification tablets, first aid supplies, even a cooking pot and fire cubes. And it all fits inside a plastic ammo case. Outside the case, but always in my truck, is a VHF Radio.
I store it in my truck, as my truck is always close to where I work. In the event of an emergency, my plan includes locating my truck, contacting family in non-crisis zone, confirming my location and status, and then make my way home where my two week survival kit is located. I also consider my truck a survival tool as it offers shelter and transportation.
Why is it important to have something like this? Do I look like a crazy doomsday theorist? It's important because it takes the strain off of emergency personal in the event of a catastrophy so that they can better assist people who are more in need, like hospital patients and disabled persons.
All of this costs around $120. It's a small price to pay for the insurance of being able to survive the inevitable. I highly encourage anyone who reads this to invest in a kit. Most of this stuff can be found in stores like Canadian tire, Walmart or outdoor specialty stores like Atmosphere or Cabela's.
Even a kit smaller than mine is a good idea. Store it at work, in your car, in your purse, wherever. You never know when an emergency can hit, and you'll be prepared.
