After much consideration and thought, I realized that signing Sherman could very well be one of our better moves, along with putting us in a nice, flexible spot for the future. First off, Sherman still very much is in his prime, even if he is in the latter years of it. I'd say that a cornerback like Sherman can provide us with solid corner play for at least 3-4 years. Yes, he is 29 and is about to turn 30 later this month, but still. Sherman has always been, to me, the best corner in the game. He runs his mouth like Norman and Talib, but has always been a great teammate other than the others listed. His ability truly is of the "lockdown" nature and I remember seeing our very own Anquan Boldin and Michael Crabtree get completely removed from games. But the best part about Sherman's signing would be the flexibility. We can easily sign or draft a young, promising corner and turn him into another Sherman in a couple years! Can you imagine what a young corner would do to learn behind Richard Sherman? So what do y'all think? Do y'all want to see Richard Sherman in Red and Gold?

Star Receiver Allen Robinson of the Jacksonville Jaguars is likely to hit the free agent market. This comes as a massive surprise as we are less than one day away from the Franchise Tag deadline. Robinson, for most of the post Superbowl off-season has been considered to be a prime Franchise Tag candidate. However, the Jaguars have suddenly, and thankfully, changed their minds. Robinson is set to make Bank in free agency, and don't be surprised if the 49ers target him. His unique deep threat ability and size combination is both rare and invaluable. And judging from the current 49er wide receiver core, where nobody is over 6'1, and Jimmy Garoppolo's key weakness, the deep pass, Robinson's services provide the 49ers with a rare opportunity. This duo would be dynamic and possibly dominant. Would y'all want to see the 49ers aquire Allen Robinson?

According to reports, Le'Veon Bell and the Steelers have been at a constant stalemate in their contract talks. However, the Franchise Tag still very much is an option. But, we still have a chance to make #levtosf happen y'all! Spam him and let him know where he's wanted! If Bell gets tagged, would y'all trade for him? #levtosf#levtosf#levtosf

The 49ers has reportedly been showing interest in Jarvis Landry. Once again, I love Jarvis, but I don't see him as much of a necessity as a luxury. Would y'all trade for Jarvis Landry?

I know that some people don't like Mr. Bell. But let me ask you something. See this duo? Deny it's possible domination. Deny the intimidation that it would give defenses. Exactly. And if you could deny that then you clearly don't know diddle squat. Le'Veon Bell is to me, and many others, the best running back in the league. You can say that his personality sucks or this and that. But I don't care. He just wants to be paid because it will make him feel respected and like he brought back some honor to the running back position. That is fine by me. And if you still want to call him a distraction, Then just comprehend the locker room that he is in. That room must be one of, if not the, most toxic and slimy rooms that I have ever seen. Did you see what they did to James Harrison? The franchise leading sacker asked for a release, on multiple occasions, because he wanted to play. What. Is. Wrong. With. That. Nothing. The dude wants to play and isn't being given the opportunity. He should at least attempt to have that opportunity somewhere else. His former teammates attacked him relentlessly and the fans followed. It was disgusting. I know that Le'Veon hitting the market is close to zero, but if he does, we have to push for him with all we got. Do y'all want to see Le'Veon Bell in red and gold? #LevtoSF

I've seen far too much of this debate and I'm going to do my best to end it. To me, this is a very easy decision, and that's Tremaine Edmunds. First off, he's versatile, and can actually help us in our LONG-TERM position(s) of need. Our OLB group was WEAK least year. Edmunds would be an immediate fix for that position and would provide a long term solution to that positional group. He also had to ability to play DE, or at least has the body type to play the position. That would be huge. Edmunds, for us, would be a front 7 Swiss army knife, similar to Minkah Fitzpatrick to the secondary. As for Roquan, he's easily more polished and accomplished than Edmunds. But, he plays Will and Mike. That's great, but not for us. He plays the two positions that already possess potential long term solutions in Rueben Foster and Macolm Smith. I genuinely feel like this whole Roquan Smith insurance policy draft pick doesn't make sense. Yes, Reuben is likely to miss a solid amount of the 2018 season. But, after that? What happens? Move Roquan to Will? No, Malcolm Smith is there. Roquan isn't a guy that would be ideal for our situation and I really think that the people who are calling for him are over reacting to Reuben's situation. Who do y'all want the 49ers to take with 9/10th pick?

Well y'all it looks like we're gonna get Trumaine Johnson. I've been totally on board with this move since rumors came out about his unstable future in LA. He's got the intangibles, is affordable, and will most likely want some revenge on the Rams for giving up on him. Anyways, don't be surprised if this goes down. I know that a lot of y'all really wanted Kyle Fuller, but let's be real. His career has been scarred with inconsistency and he really doesn't possess the body type that is needed for our defense. I would love to also get Vontae Davis because he would be an excellent rotational player and would really provide us with some solid cornerback depth for years to come. Do y'all like Trumaine Johnson?

More terrible news. Marcus Peters is expected to be traded to the Rams. Now we are virtually guaranteed Trumaine Johnson. He's got way better intangibles than Fuller and will likely want to get some revenge on the Rams for this move (players often feel like they got disrespected in moves like these). Ugh, would I have preferred Marcus Peters? Well yeah. But watch it. The Rams likely traded away their future with this one. Don't be surprised to see a first round pick, a player, and probably some conditional pick. As for you, @truj2, welcome to the bay! It's literally sunny outside right now with the temperature being a little bit on the chilly side (I mean it's winter come on). The girls ain't fake over here either and I swear nobody will make drink wheatgrass shots. You'll also get virtually every cent that you ask for in free agency! Oh yeah, you'll also get to play in a stadium that was built literally just for your team (pretty crazy amirite?). How do y'all feel about the 49ers options at cornerback?

My season grade for our Head Coach Kyle Shanahan is a "A-". This season's early short comings didn't have a whole lot to do with our coach. However, our late season glory run had everything to do with him. Sure he didn't make the best decision in signing Brian Hoyer, but tell me, what were our other options? Some will obviously bring up Case Keenum, but what was he before this season? He wasn't even good enough to be called a Bridge QB. Nobody saw nor anticipated Case Keenum's rise to stardom. Anyways, back to us. This season started off pretty rough. It was filled with drops, interceptions, mistakes, pass interference flags, etc. But how can a coach fix those continued, in-game mistakes? It's one thing to have one mistake-ridden game. That's an easy fix. But what happens when George Kittle and Marquise are dropping balls left and right? What happens when Dontae Johnson gives up another first down? What happens when you have to put in your developmental rookie starter for multiple games? You struggle. And Kyle can't prevent stuff like that. All he can do is acknowledge what they're doing wrong. The players from there, have to find themselves. Luckily Kittle and Marquise did. But others, like Rashard Robinson, were traded, or released. Now things are obviously looking good with Jimmy G coming to town and all of our players stepping up. We made our name known after that Jacksonville game. But I think that Shanahan made his name as a head coach be known during the Eagles game. We held strong during most of it. And with Trent Brown out, things were difficult with that star Eagles pass rush. But they held strong, even after Joe Staley went out as well. We had no starting tackles in, and only one real tackle. But the playcalling was brilliant. Shanahan found ways to move the ball. It was incredible. We were running fakes and quick throws that were so unorthodox that they worked! That game really stuck out to me because of how skilled it was. Shanahan looked like a real offensive guru, and it was during this game that I realized that I had complete faith in him. How would y'all grade Shanahan's season?

Terrible news. It looks like the Lions are going to Franchise Tag Ziggy Ansah. If this turns out to be true, our options at DE will become extremely restricted and I would expect us to trade up in the draft for Bradley Chubb. Ansah to SF almost seemed inevitable until today and this could ruin our chances at fixing a massive roster hole. This move would also pretty much guarantee Arik Armstead's 5th year option. Catastrophic news. Just to put the post-Ziggy Ansah Market into perspective, the next best pass rusher becomes Adrian Clayborn, who had one absolutely historic game with 6 sacks, and then he fell off the map for most of year. What do y'all want the 49ers to do with DE if Ziggy Ansah is tagged?
