ColorComm Founder Lauren sat down with Soledad O’Brien to learn how she transitioned from Journalist to CEO and a peek into her daily life.
@LaurenWesleyWilson: What advice would you give your 30-year-old self?
@Soledadobrien: The answer cannot always be work harder or outwork everyone else. In your 20s, you put your head down and you work hard. Sometimes as women of color, we think working harder will bring us more success. In your 30s you need to be focused on developing relationships and a network that brings people together to be a convener of conversations. In my personal life I would tell my 30-year-old self to not stress over the stuff that worry won’t fix.
