What an incredible weekend it was with @chiefscheer and my @rphsprowlerfanpage alumni! This was, by far, the TOUGHEST audition and I wouldn't have it any other way. These are the moments we live for with the people who make it memorable!
These girls have been with me since high school, and I think friendships like that are extremely hard to come by. I want to thank everyone for their support throughout these weeks, preparing for auditions because I feel like that's what ladies should do - empower each other and lift one another up. For all of you that have made the team, I couldn't be more happy for you! And for all the contestants, be proud of laying your hearts on the floor. That's not always easy and you're a winner for trying!
I know what some of you are thinking... "She wore that costume?!" Haha, heck yes I did and I wouldn't have had it any other way. Some history for you: its an actual "Chiefette" costume from 1978. I found it back in October while I was at the studio. This is also the same costume my dance teacher wore when she was a Chiefs Cheerleader and bringing it back made me so proud... I had tears of joy. Feelings of nostalgia.
From 1978 to 2018, the organization remains incredible and I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to showcase my skills, while kicking it old school. Thank you, Ms Raven for being an inspiration. I couldn't be more proud to represent you as a teacher, a student, and a friend. And a big thanks to @chiefscheer for testing my skills, putting me to the test, and giving me an opportunity to be a finalist in the audition process. This truly has been one of the best experiences of my life #ccauditions#chiefscheer#kcmo#kcdancers#prowleralumni#prowlersyouknow#dancelife#dancefamily#passion#dance#chiefs#chiefsnation#techn9ne#choreography#testyourself#pushyourself#loveyourself
