The future of the Redskins at every Offensive Position:
This all comes down to Kirk Cousins. If he is resigned, there’s your guy the next 4-5 Years. If not, QB becomes the need and look for the Redskins to trade up in the draft to acquire one.
Chris Thompson has proved he’s a great 3rd Down/receiving. He has the occasional big play but isn’t someone you should rely on to carry the entire load. Samaje Perine is best suited as a short yardage/goaline Player and Rob Kelley isn’t anything special at the position. I think the team should try and add a veteran in Free Agency or target someone after Round 1 in the draft.
Josh Doctson has shown promise but can’t be trusted as a WR 1 yet. Jamison Crowder should stay in the slot and Ryan Grant should be a rotational guy at best. They still lack another guy in the group and I think they pick someone up in Free Agency like a Paul Richardson or Sammy Watkins.
Jordan Reed’s future is up in the air and Vernon Davis is likely gone after 2018. Niles Paul is a Free Agent and Jeremy Sprinkle should remain a backup. I really think they should target a guy like Trey Burton in Free Agency or draft someone in the Middle Rounds this year or early on next year.
Trent Williams, Morgan Moses and Brandon Scherff all have their respective positions locked down. The way Jay Gruden talks makes me seem to think Chase Roullier is penciled in at Center the next few years. That just leaves a spot open at LG (Quenton Nelson maybe)?
