When i was in high school- i wanted to starve myself. I didn’t want to eat. I also was super uncomfortable eating in front of people and that lasted allll the way until i met my husband... who quickly broke me out of that weirdo fear 🤦🏼♀️
I- like most teenagers, thought starving myself was the way to lose weight.
Eventually i learned starving yourself destroys your metabolism. It also puts your body in a catabolic state which means your body runs off of muscle mass! Who can afford to lose their muscles?! 🤷🏼♀️
The answer to weight loss is scientifically proven that you must eat less calories than your burn. The problem is- most people don’t realize how many calories they burn! So what’s the go-to response? Eating close to nothing and exercising like CRAZY...Because if you eat 1000 calories a day you MUST be burning more than that, right? Wrong. Well- right lol but if you’re eating TOO little your body starts feeding off of your muscles for energy.
