This time last year I remember being pretty caught up on having very visible and defined abs. I would only post selfies taken in the morning at my leanest point in the day, even when I was close competition shape. That all changed though this year when I can honestly and truly say I started to feel happy and comfortable in my own skin. We all do care about aesthetics let's be honest and I still do like to set myself short term targets. But my main goal now is to look strong, healthy and to be able to sustain an attainable physique. . Especially the first exercise, I thought I could do it without holding on to the wall but NO WAY πŸ™…β€β™€οΈ I almost ended up doing the split against my will πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ 1️⃣ Sliding reverse lunges with pulse, 12 reps 3 sets each leg πŸ‘‰πŸ½ as you squat down, you must push your hips backward so that your front knee won’t go past your toes (which is key to avoid hurting yourself) and try holding a chair or the wall to help with balance (and avoid doing the split πŸ•Ί) 2️⃣ Sliding curtsy lunges, 10 reps 3 sets each leg πŸ‘‰πŸ½ I apologize for the view 😭 I totally recommend holding something in front of you! Bring your sliding leg far enough to get a good stretch in your other leg (in your glutes) 3️⃣ Sliding hip adduction, 10 reps 3 sets πŸ‘‰πŸ½ keep your core tight & your back flat as shown on the vid and go only as far as your mobility allows you (or you’ll end up stuck in an awkward position crying for help 😿) 4️⃣ Sliding hamstring curls, 10 reps 3 sets πŸ‘‰πŸ½ keep your core engaged here too and extend your legs as far as you can. For an easier version, alternate legs with both legs on the ground and for a harder version, lift one leg and do single leg ham curls πŸ”₯ 5️⃣ Sliding one-legged squats, 8 reps 3 sets each leg πŸ‘‰πŸ½ that’s an easier version than pistol squats but it’s still hard πŸ˜‚ make sure your knee doesn’t go past your toes as you squat down (that’s why I can’t go lower than this for now) . . . Keep the intensity so high you can’t go beyond 20mins - I really like 30s on, 30s off ⏱️ ______ 2. Try to spread moves across your body parts so muscle fatigue doesn’t hold your intensity back. ______ Here’s the workout, I like to do them as a circuit for 30s with 30s rest in between each exercise. Repeat 3 times! πŸ’ͺ ______ 1. Resistance band sprints 2. Tuck jumps (just jump as high as you can if not comfortable doing tuck jumps) 3.
