Name: Kevin Knox
Position: Small Forward
Projected Range: Top 11
Comparison: Rudy Gay/Kelly Oubre Jr.
Ideal Fit: Charlotte
What does he bring to the team?
A pure athlete who can score from every level of the court, also a leader who can run the floor when it is needed. Extremely great frame that will fill out fantastically, kinda reminds me of a small Giannis with a jumpshot. Has the total package to become a decent level defender. Not afraid to pull up in a contested situation or take any open shots.
Any major concerns?
Other than consistency, nothing is a red flag to me. One game he playing out of his mind, the next he is playing like he belongs on the bench. He can come into the league and start right away, but could use a year on the bench to develop.
Outlook on prospect?
A natural scorer with the ability to become an elite two-way wing. I think he needs a year to develop into the player we want. He provides what every team is looking for nowadays, athleticism and versatility are extraordinarily exceptional.
Why does he fit in Philadelphia?
They are very athletic, and can use another perimeter threat. The fact that he provides the ability to drive to the rim aggressively but also play conservative and play as a spot up shooter, is out of this world in the league. They can use another wing that plays like Covington.
Why does he fit in Charlotte?
Charlotte will most likely take the best available player, Knox could fall due to pure depth in the draft. Charlotte can use youth and depth at the wing. Also, a young group of Walker, Monk, Bacon, Knox & Kaminsky sounds like a solid group for the future. Knox provides them with all of the intangibles that they don’t get out of their team right now.
