Al Franken is speaking today at 11:45 am ET. I really believe what's going on has been a setup, and quite frankly, right now, I'm ashamed of the democratic party, too. If you have similar feelings, I think it's not too late. I hate getting political like this, but voice your opinion. Call his office. (Yes the lines are jammed but I finally got through this morning.) You can also email. Even twitter is something. It's not much but this is some classic GOP bullshit right here and the democrats aren't doing shit about it either. Well, we can. It's a dangerous thing when people start forcing their own part to step down without due process, and I sure as hell won't be a part of it, no matter what party is involved. #teamfranken#staystrong#alfranken#dontresign#imwithal
Sen. Al Franken will make an announcement Thursday, his office told reporters, as calls for the #Minnesota Democrat's resignation -- led by female senators and later including party leaders such as Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer -- rapidly gained momentum Wednesday.
Thirty-two Democratic senators -- 13 female and 19 male -- called on #AlFranken to resign as allegations of #sexualharassment against him continue to mount. Republican Sen. Susan Collins also called on Franken to quit.
