One year, seven dogs . . .
One year ago today, we welcomed our very first foster Lance into our home at a time when I wasn't feeling so great. Ita, Luna, Wink, Maia, Dolce, and Munchee followed him and life has only been getting better since then. I owe a lot of that to fostering and the rescue community! I have met some truly amazing people and (duh) great dogs. I can easily say that beginning to foster is one of the best decision I've ever made. Yes, it's hard work to stick by these dogs through their ups and downs, but any commitment and love I've given has been returned to me tenfold. Unconditional love is a very special and rare feeling, and I am so privileged to feel it daily (I'll always love Oscar most), and most days doubly. It has taught me so much about commitment, patience, and passion. It's an experience I wouldn't trade in for anything. Helping these dogs nourishes my soul and I know it's something I'm meant to be doing for the world, the dogs, and myself for the rest of my life. . . .
Thank you to the rescues who have trusted me with their dogs and my family who allow me to do this thing that I love most
