Looking for a small gift to take home or to send abroad? Why not some of Eagle Creek's beautiful artisan soaps?
Each bar is an original mini picture. This soap depicts the best of Victoria with it’s green lawns, it’s sunny skies, and its view of the deep blue Olympic mountains off in the distance. The scent is Endless Sea – evocative of standing on the breakwater, looking out across the straight.

Victoria and I visiting the Vancouver Art Gallery on a blustery Sunday. We came to see "Portrait of the Artist: An Exhibition from the Royal Collection" which was remarkable (I didn't expect I would see an Artemisia Gentileschi in-person ). However, my favorite exhibit ended up being Gordon Smith's "The Black Paintings" which were inspired by his wartime experience during the second world war when he was wounded at Pachino Beach in Sicily. My favorites are in this insta gallery: "43", "Tanu", and "Juno". Such dark and thought-provoking works. “I still clearly see their faces and hear their voices — there has been no time in my life that has meant so much. Some of us lived on, some did not. When I am alone, I think of these dear friends and weep, and after all these years the memory is as fresh as ever.” - Gordon Smith WW2 Veteran
