What’s your favorite Laini Taylor’s book? I’ve read the Daughter of smoke and bone trilogy and Stange the dreamer and it’s hard to choose just one, since both have great and not that amazing things...

favorite book to recommend i work professional in the medical field and this book i recommend to all of my patients. can’t we talk about something more pleasant? by roz chast is a cartoonish memoir of her last few years with her parents. it puts a very matter-of-fact and light-hearted comical spin on the whole end of life process. it’s quirky and tackles a topic no one ever talks about - how to see our parents to the end. #janbookstagram18

I'm not a huge fan of Regency romances, i enjoy them while I'm reading them but they all tend to blur together in my mind afterwards. I normally don't read one unless it comes highly recommended, which was the case with Slightly Dangerous by Mary Balogh. @lucyparkerauthor was very enthusiastic in recommending this Pride and Prejudice retelling, and I have to thank her for it because I stayed up until early morning to read this in one go. I was hooked right from the time Christine meets Wulfric! Actually I was laughing so hard. Christine is a smart heroine who is just so vibrant and full of life, a very pleasant character to read about. And she takes the dark and broody Duke of Bedwyn completely by surprise. I really enjoyed how Mary Balogh took elements of Pride and Prejudice but made the story completely her own. Had so much fun reading this book. Highly recommended for historical romance readers and fans of Jane Austen retellings. .
What's your favorite retelling of a classic? Or Pride and Prejudice in particular, if you have one?

Loving her is the biggest fight of his life…⠀
Home from the Marines, Noah Cortez has a secret he doesn’t want his oldest friend, Kristina Moore, to know. It kills him to push her away, especially when he’s noticing just how sexy and confident she’s become in his absence. But, angry and full of fight, he’s not the same man anymore either. Which is why Warrior Fight Club sounds so good.⠀
Kristina loves teaching, but she wants more out of life. She wants Noah—the boy she’s crushed on and waited for. Except Noah is all man now—in ways both oh so good and troubling, too. Still, she wants who he’s become—every war-hardened inch. And when they finally stop fighting their attraction, it’s everything Kristina never dared hope for.⠀
But Noah is secretly spiraling, and when he lashes out, it threatens what he and Kristina have found. The brotherhood of the fight club helps him confront his demons, but only Noah can convince the woman he loves that he’s finally ready to fight for everything.⠀
