"A Rose Amongst Thorns"⠀ ⠀ European robins are some of my favourite birds to photograph. Their bold, inquisitive nature means they are very approachable and commonly found in the parks and green spaces of London. ⠀ ⠀ This image was taken last year when I heard this little bird singing from within this tree. At first he was quite difficult to spot, the twisted, curving branches provided some pretty good camouflage. I maneuvered myself into a position where I could get a clean look at the robin, whilst the surrounding branches helped to create a stunning natural frame. ⠀ ⠀ The only thing I could have hoped to improve with this image was the amount of light hitting the robin itself. Whilst it was a sunny day, the dense tree created some darker shadows and therefore the little bird does not stand out as much as I would have liked. ⠀ ⠀ Captured with Canon 1200D, Canon EF-S 55-250mm @ 250mm, f/5.6, iso 320.
