We sought out this small and cosy family-owned sushi restaurant in the non-touristy area of Marutamachi, and had a good time chatting with its 3rd generation owner Mitsuru-san. He had lived overseas for a period and could speak good English. The family owns the small building in which the restaurant is located, and has been in the sushi business for over 55 years!
It was a different dining experience for us and one we enjoyed. Apart from the fresh seafood, we both thought the chawanmushi - prepared by Mitsuru-san's mother - was among the best we've ever had! So smooth and delightful.
