So last week I correctly predicted 2/5 with me getting Blade Runner 2049 at the top spot even though it came in very underperforming. I also greatly overestimated the My Little Pony fan base, with their first film actually making around 10 million less than what I predicted. So here are the new films opening wide this weekend: 1. Happy Death Day 2. The Foreigner 3. Marshall (semi wide) The new horror/comedy Happy Death Day looks like it will unseat Blade Runner from the top spot due to the interesting premise, decent reviews, effective marketing, and the fact that it did open on Friday the 13th should give it a boost. I believe Blade Runner will take the second spot, but I could see it fall to third depending on if the overwhelmingly strong buzz will keep it from a drastic second weekend drop. I could also see the Foreigner topping it as they have done a good job marketing this film and generating interest. So here are my predictions for this weekend: 5. The Mountain Between Us- $5 million 4. It- $6 million 3. The Foreigner- $15 million 2. Blade Runner 2049- $18 million 1. Happy Death Day- $30 million What are your thoughts on my predictions??? So I'm sorry for again missing last weekend's predictions as I've been extremely busy acting in a play for my high school. It was a near photo-finish though with the top 3 films all coming within a couple hundred thousand dollars! So here are the new films opening wide this weekend: 1. Blade Runner 2049 2. The Mountain Between Us 3. My Little Pony: the Movie Blade Runner 2049, the long awaited sequel to the cult classic, looks like it will take the top spot but I'm not not sure where exactly it will come in numbers wise. The first film definitely has its fan base, but even that film did not do well when it first opened but the trailers and marketing have been very good and look to draw in some audiences who maybe have not even seen the first film. I think it will come in somewhere around 40 million but the making reviews may help give this film strong legs throughout October. The Mountain Between Us, while having two good stars, doesn't look like it will exactly break box office records. I actually forgot this was coming out so that's not a good sign for the marketing. And finally the film everyone has been waiting on their hands and knees for ages for...the My Little Pony Movie. But seriously, the film looks pretty harmless and looks like it will do a decent job at drawing in its core demographic and pleasing its fan base. So here are my predictions for this weekend: 5. The Mountain Between Us- $7.5 million 4. Kingsman: the Golden Circle- $8 million 3. It- $10 million 2. My Little Pony: the Movie- $18 million 1. Blade Runner 2049- $40 million What are your thoughts on my predictions??? So last week I predicted 4/5 correct, due to me hoping that Wind River could stay in the Top 5 a little longer but it was knocked out by the Hitman's Bodyguard, which has been quite the sleeper hit in a rough box office time. But here are the new films opening wide this weekend: 1. Kingsman: the Golden Circle 2. The Lego Ninjago Movie 3. Friend Request So this weekend looks to finally see IT be de-throned from the top spot with Kingsman looking to take its place. The first film opened around 35 million and was a big sleeper hit and while I don't see it making massive numbers, it still looks likes it's at least going to cross the 40 million mark. The Lego Ninjago Movie on the other hand, I can't even see passing the 25 million mark. While the first two Lego films opened very well, this property is much less recognizable and the trailers haven't seemed to garner much interest outside of its normal fans. So here are my predictions for this weekend: 5. Home Again- $3.5 million 4. American Assassin- $6.5 million 3. The Lego Ninjago Movie- $20 million 2. It- $30 million 1. Kingsman: the Golden Circle- $45 million What are your thoughts on my predictions??? So last week I predicted 5/5 correct, with me undershooting IT at 100 million when it came in at almost 125 million. But here are the new films opening wide this weekend: 1. American Assassin 2. Mother! So after it's stellar opening weekend, it looks like the reign of IT will continue as even if it suffers a big fall, none of the competition looks to be much of a threat. American Assassin has some well liked actors but the trailers and reviews don't seem to give people the impression that this is anything different from every other spy film that comes out. The new Aronofsky film Mother! also does not look like it has a chance to even hit 10 million. Despite having an actress like Jennifer Lawrence, the trailers have been extremely vague and despite some critics praising the film, most audiences have not been so kind. So here are my predictions for this weekend: 5. Wind River- $3 million 4. Home Again- $4.6 million 3. mother!- $6.5 million 2. American Assassin- $14 million 1. It- $55 million What are your thoughts on my predictions??? So I've taken the last two weeks off of Box Office Predictions due to me being very busy with starting school again and the fact that I live in Texas and had to worry about Harvey. I didn't really miss much though as these were two of the worst box office weekends in over a decade with little to no new wife releases. But here are the new films opening wide this weekend: 1. It 2. Home Again The new adaptation of Stephen King's It looks to massively revitalize the Box Office with what looks to be a record-setting debut for September. I wouldn't have anticipated this back when it was first announced, but since then the trailers have been extremely successful at getting pretty much everyone excited for this movie. I personally can say that practically every person I know has been dying to see this film since the first teaser came out! I'm very optimistic about this film and think it could (at minimum) hit the 100 million mark. The other new release, Home Again, looks to be a very standard rom-com and its audience doesn't seem like the kind that would be driven away by terrible reviews. So here are my predictions for this weekend: 5. Wind River- $3.5 million 4. Annabelle: Creation- $4 million 3. The Hitman's Bodyguard- $4.5 million 2. Home Again- $7.5 million 1. It- $100 million What are your thoughts on my predictions??? So last weekend I got 5/5 correct for having Annabelle: Creation take the top spot with a very good opening for a horror movie in August. So here are the new films opening wide this weekend: 1. The Hitman's Bodyguard 2. Logan Lucky So the two films coming out this week look to draw from a similar audience but I feel the Hitman's Bodyguard will open on top. The film has had a crazy amount of marketing and I think people are genuinely curious to see Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson together. Logan Lucky is a film I'm worrying about, due to the fact that the director, Steven Soderbergh, put up a lot of his own money to get this film distributed. Despite great reviews and a good cast, it looks like it will not be able to even make double digits. So here are my predictions for this weekend: 5. The Nut Job 2: Nutty By Nature- $5 million 4. Dunkirk- $6.5 million 3. Logan Lucky- $9 million 2. Annabelle: Creation- $15 million 1. The Hitman's Bodyguard- $21 million What are your thoughts on my predictions??? Late again right after this is my prediction but this is last weeks numbers, ive kinda stopped some news due to rumors especially on ben affleck however the weekend box office prediction was fair. I got two spots right. At Number One Annabelle Creations take $35 million opening weekend which is great, im planning to see it soon and looks great for them. #2 Dunkirk is taking it to the bank as it collects another $10 million almost a month after release so well done Nolan! #3 The Nut Job 2 just looks like another emoji movie piece of shit that collects $8 million and will not probably pass go next week. #4 Dark Tower collapsed to 4 with $8 million this week, as #5 Girls Trip has recieved $6 million. Now onto this weeks #boxofficepredictions at #1 i see Dunkirk come back with $10 million again, when #2 is The Hitman's Bodyguard. Even with mixed reviews Deadpool amd Nick Fury work in a film together (brace yourself ladies and gentlemen) they will recieve in my eyes a nice opening to $9 million. Where #3 Annabelle hits down to $8 million on its second weekend which is not bad as people think. #4 Logans Lucky will open at $7 million and #5 is dark tower with $6 million, my predictions off? What is your prediction, am i right am i wrong? Lmk in the comments below! #boxoffice #boxofficepredictions #dunkirk #darktowermovie #movies2017

So last weekend I got 5/5 correct for having the Dark Tower just barely take the top spot in what's got to be a disappointing opening for Sony. So here are the new films opening wide this weekend: 1. Annabelle: Creation 2. The Glass Castle 3. The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature The new Annabelle film looks like it will do very well for a film in August since it actually has some good buzz behind it. The first film opened with 37 million so I expect this to do slightly better than that. The Nut Job 2, despite having the worst title in movie history, looks to do alright for a film of its caliber. Plus, it's only competition really is the Emoji Movie and that already looks to fall out of the top five. So here are my predictions for this weekend: 5. Girls Trip- $7.5 million 4. The Dark Tower- $9 million 3. The Nut Job 2: Nutty By Nature- $10 million 2. Dunkirk- $12 million 1. Annabelle: Creation- $39 million What are your thoughts on my predictions???
