And the winner is? -Vladimir Putin will lead Russia for another six years, after securing an expected victory in the presidential election.
-With most of the ballots counted, he had received about 76% of the vote, the central election commission said.
-The main opposition leader, Alexei Navalny, was barred from the race.
-Addressing a rally in Moscow after the early results were declared, Mr Putin said voters had "recognised the achievements of the last few years".
-Speaking to reporters after his win, he laughed off a question about running again in another six years.
-"What you are saying is a bit funny. Do you think that I will stay here until I'm 100 years old? No!" he said. #verticalstance

What has become of the current Republican Party and many in the Democratic Party? It seems as if there is a huge spending issue. On the right, we have a government led by Donald Trump, Paul Ryan, and Mitch McConnell that have lowered the corporate tax by a huge amount and leaving poor and middle class families with virtually no break at all. They have given their votes and power to the rich and just waste and waste money. We have a wing in the Democratic Party led by Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren (and many others) that want to just tax everyone high and pour high spending into everything. Both of these approaches is not what Americans want. We do not need to have the rich be privileged and we also do not need to have everyone pay high taxes. We must create a system in which poor and middle class families are the ones getting the tax breaks. We must also seek to reduce our $21,000,000,000,000 debt by making sure each department is efficient and not just wasting money. I would even be in favor of eliminating or merging some departments, depending on what exactly they do and if we actually need it. We cannot just spend and spend and spend. We cannot waste money on pointless things and we just do not need to give out money to people who are lazy and be dependent on the government. Yes, those that need help must receive it, but those who just USE the government are shame on society. We must give people more control over their own lives, instead of treating everyone as fully equal. What do I mean by this? Well maybe someone would rather go straight into the work force and not go into college. Why should he be taxed to pay for college? America is about freedom. That's our philosophy. People must have control over their own lives and the government's job is simply to give them a hand up, not give them a handout.
