Today I give thanks and truth.
It’s been a dismal year for my art and professionally, as the measurements of quantifiable success are non-existent or admittedly depressing. I am, however, thankful I have a studio space large enough to accommodate many of my projects, that I have a studio that’s well equipped and completely my own...with thanks to my day job, because it wouldn’t be sustainable otherwise.
I’m thankful I have (most) of my faculties in good working order, so I can continue to construct my artistic concepts, to enliven my artistic mind. I have so much more to develop, evolve, and create.
I’m thankful for the woman I can home, and her/my family; I’m thankful they’re all caring, kind people that support me/us if needed.
And I’m thankful that a few of you do more than just like my posts or comment, that a couple of you have become a patron of my arts. That is sincerely the best compliment you can ever give an artist, both financially but more so emotionally. I’m a very private person, so I’m not one to emblazon my instagram with my personal life, but some days the failures are insurmountable and you’ll never know how much your patronage drops a little light in the broken dark.
I hope everyone has a peaceful and restful holiday.
