Just saw Annabelle Creation. My phone died before the movie why I'm posting now. But I actually really enjoyed it, I haven't seen the first Annabelle but I feel I didn't need to to enjoy this. This is a very scary movie, with some good acting. Now the audience, well while I did enjoy the movie, there was this one group of people that kept talking non stop commentary throughout the entire movie about what was happening. I don't need commentary from you if I want it I'll get the Blu-Ray. And there were these group of teenagers who felt the need to randomly come in during the trailers and speak at the top of their voice, now luckily when the movie started the manager kicked them all out, cause they were being incredibly disruptive. Overall, I enjoyed this movie more than I thought.

Anabelle: Creation is such an amazing horror film! It legitimately freaked me out throughout the whole movie and i absolutely love the way it ties with the Anabelle story. I really regret ever doubting it and I highly recommend you all go watch it as soon as possible. (preferably in the morning during a weekday like we did because i don't like sharing the theater)

Annabelle Creation is the latest movie in The Conjuring and is a prequel of Annabelle which was a prequel to The Conjuring and this movie is about the origins of how it was created and how it became possessed.
Is directed by David F. Sandberg who previously made Lights Out which in my opinion was a pretty fun horror movie and also very inventive but still my hopes were pretty low given that the first Annabelle movie was a disappointment, this movie is similar to the case of Ouija Origin of Evil, both of them are prequels that are so much better than their predecessor. Surprisingly Annabelle Creation is really entertaining.
We follow two little girls Janice and Linda they are best friends and belong to an orphanage, accompanied by some other girls they arrive at this house which is going to be their new home and soon their friendship is tested because there is something evil in that house. These girls are going places because due to their extremely good performances I found myself caring about their friendship and getting behind them especially Janice which she is the one that is more tormented with this entity, they both have wishes to be adopted by the same parents so that they can actually be sisters.
This movie is surprisingly not bad at all, I constantly found myself invested in the movie which has some really good jumpscares that are set up by good cinematography and music that builds more tension. This movie is just a straight up haunted house horror that is really fun with horror moments at every couple minutes that just never ends until the very intense finale. And at the end they tie up the Annabelle movies in such a clever that actually makes sense and I really liked that.

Of course I also had to see "Annabel: Creation." This is the latest installment in "The Conjuring" universe and it did not disappoint. It was nothing groundbreaking and had some flaws but it gave plenty of scares and was really entertaining. Normally a horror sequel, let alone prequel, just screams disappointment and money grab but "The Conjuring" universe has delivered every step of the way and ties the films together in unique and clever ways. Universal should take note for their "Dark Universe" after the disappointment of "The Mummy." "Annabel: Creation" cost about $15 million to make and has already grossed $64 million domestically after 2 weeks. "The Mummy" was made for $125 million and made $80 million total domestically. It just goes to show if you have strong creative talent behind a project and put out quality entertainment people will show up, especially for horror films.
I am excited to see what they do with their next installment "The Nun" who made her debut in "The Conjuring 2." .
Saw Annabelle creation last night. Out of the Conjuring universe I've only seen The Conjuring and this. Annabelle creation is directed by David F. Sandberg who directed one of my favorites from last year (Lights Out). This movie is your generic "the house is haunted by a demon who wants to eat children so it puts itself into an object only kids want to play with" plot. The build up to the scares were a lot more scary than the scares themselves. I dunno if I'm just getting old and bitter but jump scares aren't what makes a movie scary. They don't really do a good job at explaining the demon they're just like "yeah he showed up pretending to be our daughter" you know the same shit you see in every "horror" movie these days. It was well made(cinematography, acting, directing) and brought some spooky scaries that's for sure. It's nothing I'd watch again though. I give this movie a 5.5/10. Was hoping for something a little better because I really enjoyed Lights Out. #annabellecreation#davidfsandberg#horror#conjuring#chuckyisthebetterpossesseddoll
