Another week where putting out a prep YouTube vid update is just not feasible due to other priorities...need one more hour in a day lol. Week 7 in the books and visually making small strides. Still a ways to go but happy with where I’m at. Started at 184 and seen a low of 176 this week and overall weekly avg is 177-178. Last week was a deload week and in addition to that I took three days to refeed to charge the batteries. Fatigue ⬇️ energy ⬆️ so weeks 7-9 in position to push a bit so cardio has been doubled down (4 sessions x 60 minutes, liss, recumbent bike, hr 90...just casually increasing expenditure without impacting training/recovery). Low day macros on the cardio days and 3 refeed days on the non cardio days (auto regulating them according to fat loss progress, energy levels, performance, recovery, severity of flatness, overall mood/stress, etc.). Week 10 will be a diet break (structured increase in food intake) to alleviate diet fatigue to sustain effective and efficient prep progress. Training has seen some slight modifications based on the previous training block and life schedule...moved the deload to the 4th week to ensure I stay ahead of the curve with fatigue and to minimize risk of injury. Moved my deadlift after squats as my hips/low back are a bit looser and I also moved rep range up a bit so loads aren’t as excessive(sweet spot). Besides that...everything is 👌🏻 and really starting to enjoy this prep a lot. Even after all these years there’s still some 🔥 in me...not so much to win, but to ❤️ the process. Sacrifice what does not work now. You don't have to force things, in fact, you're not supposed to force things. If you feel you've done your part, and it's still not working for you, let go. It will be replaced by something better. The key is to know what you want. Sometimes you continue and expand and sometimes you change the path completely because you are not on the right path. It's okay. How you feel with what you want and what you have will tell you if you need to let go or keep it. Don't try to be something that you are not. To yourself, or to anybody.
