THE SCALES CAN SUCK
My weight yesterday was my all-time low and so I was super pumped! I woke up today and then I had “gained” nearly a pound back even though I stayed within my calories
This really got me disheartened this morning as I already woke up hungry as it was. It’s easy to get angry when the scales don’t budge in the right direction when it seems like you putting in the effort. But this can be due to so many factors:
Amount & quality of sleep
How late you ate the night before
Volume of food night before
Activity levels day before
You may need to poop
Time of the month (For ladies)
90% of the time, unless you binged, it’s NOT fat! Therefore there is no reason to stress about it.
I have to force myself to take a step back and realise that it is the weekly average that counts more so. Plus I didn’t workout yesterday so my glycogen stores are fuller too!
🤷🏻♂️So don’t worry if your weight fluctuates. Just be patient and if it keeps going in the wrong direction for 2-3 weeks straight- then perhaps thinking about making small adjustments.
