Monday calls for a new plan. I have been struggling to keep losing body fat this past month after all the Christmas hysteria, and a controlled diet on low carbs just doesn't do it. So I decided to take matter into my hands and I am starting #carbscycle.
I am keeping my @freeletics coach for HIIT 🤸 workouts and adding some home circuit trainings from @vshred4women _.️
What is carb cycle when you are trying to lose some body fat? Now there is some #counting to do. #IIFYM. It's a pain but that's how you get the job done.
It consists of having a deficit calorie intake where you readjust the type of calories you eat everyday. So you eat differently but with the same exact amount of calorie intake every according to your goal.
For example I will be having :
- 4 low carb or nearly no carb days :
- 2 medium carb days
- 1 high carb.
The high carb day is not cheat because it's still meant to be clean eating. You simply end up eating more carbs, very little fat (there's goes the pizza and sweet pastries) and a good amount of protein.
Ideally this cycle is coordinated to your work outs. the high carb day is a day where I have an intense HIIT workout, and the low carb and medium carb days will be circuit training or cardio or stretching or rest day.
I will eventually start reintroducing a cheat day, always healthy to have a dirty day
