Do you believe Doug Pederson should win Coach of the Year? 🦅

I've been seeing a lot of news about Eagles fans (and Philadelphia sports in general) which comes as no surprise... but let us not forget the sunburn incident of 2014. My first, and still only NFL game. "Lets paint our faces", I said. "It will be fun", I said.
Eagles trivia time! 🦅
In Catholicism, the eagle is a symbol of the Resurrection a.k.a. rebirth, new life, coming-back-from-the-dead-in-triumph. In ancient times it was believed that the eagle would renew its vitality by flying near the sun and then plunging into the water.
The eagle, which flies higher than other birds, also represents John the Evangelist because his Gospel begins by explaining the divinity of Christ.
Here are our two representations of eagles. Look around your churches (not just in Philadelphia!) and you'll find eagles, often by the ambo or pulpit, or with St. John or the symbols of the other evangelists.
The National Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia is located in South Philadelphia. We're open every single day and we welcome all sports fans to visit us and pray for good games, healthy athletes, safe sporting events, and victory... ...of Christ's love over sin and death, of course.
