Alternatives to Enriched White Flour Whole Wheat It’s difficult to live flour-free. Many foods are made with flour of some type and it is hard to go flour-free without switching to an all-produce diet or raw food diet. There are alternatives to enriched white flour. Try replacing enriched flour with whole wheat, oat flour, rye flour, almond meal, brown rice flour, or millet flour. Pasta and bread are the foods that most commonly contain white flour, but pay attention as many processed and frozen foods contain enriched flour. If available, sprouted flours are best. Preferably, organic. Organic sprouted whole grain pastas and breads are becoming easier to obtain although the best diet plan would contain little to no grains and more live fruits, seeds and vegetables. Whole Grain Flour vs. White Enriched Flour Whole grain foods are higher in fiber because the wheat germ and bran have not been processed out of them. Whole grain foods are digested more slowly, leaving you feeling fuller for a longer. Whole grain foods have more nutrients than “enriched” foods. Whole grains are not processed as a starch, so they don’t throw your body into a sugar dependency cycle. Experiment with a 10 day, no enriched white flour challenge, you might be surprised at how easy it is. Better yet, share the challenge with your family and friends.

Last night was all about practicing the balance mentality! After a busy week at work we decided to have some girls around for a platter and cocktail evening 😆 There was no guilt in indulging on cheese, crackers and a few too many drinks 😂 While it’s important to fuel your body with good food, it’s just as important to fuel your soul with good memories ❤️ Happy Saturday friends!

Day 19/365 Happy Friday to you all! Her breakfast: French toast, 2egg whites 1full egg, h20 on the side. Her lunch/snacks: chicken cutlet, Mac and cheese, peach, grapes, mix nuts, yogurt and peanut butter and jelly sandwich. My breakfast: simply maple brown sugar oatmeal. My snacks: yogurt, some peanuts on the side and lots of h20 all day. My lunch: grilled chicken stick with lemon potatoes. Lots of h20 all day. Es de mis comidas favoritas, es super fácil y rapida de hacer y muy versátil ya que le puedes poner todo lo que quieras o tengas en el momento, aqui les platico que tiene el mio 👇👇. . . • 1/2 Cama de 1 Taza de Arroz Basmati y la otra mitad de Mixed Greens que tengas (Yo utilicé Espinacas y Kale), Mango, Edamames, Zanahoria rallada, Pepino en tiritas, Aguacate y piqué el Salmon y Atún en cubos pequeños y mezclé con Cebolla Morada y Jalapeño picados finamente y los marine en una salsita de Aminos de Coco, Vinagre de Arroz, Sal del Himalaya y Pimienta. Y todo bañado en una salsita de Yogurt griego mezclado con adobo de chiles chipotle. Quedo de RE-CHU-PE-TE 😋😋. . .
