When you visit Swinley Forest it is like you are stepping back in time. This ageless Harry Colt course is located in the heathland area of Surrey, south of London and is an absolute pleasure to play. I really enjoyed the experience and can't wait to get back there again. The 17th hole pictured is a mid length par 3 with a testing green sloping off on both left and right as well as behind. If you miss the green an up and down is a very good result.
Scottish golf is varied and there are a large number of different regions in which to play. Obviously the Home of Golf - St Andrews is well known as is the West Coast, Highlands and East Lothian. Secretly though north of St Andrews lies the town of Aberdeen, an offshore oil rig town that has some really good golf courses. Royal Aberdeen, Cruden Bay, Murcar and Trump International (pictured here) help make Aberdeen a must stop golf destination. The 13th hole pictured at Trump International is a tough par 3 with a wonderful water backdrop. Conditioning is first class and the course is very enjoyable to play. Consider visiting Aberdeen on your next trip to Scotland.
