Some grabs from LEFT HAND, directed by Skyler Lawson that I was fortunate to DP.
For the interior shower/bath house we were in a tight space with only one window that wasn’t permanently boarded up, so we decided to push a 1200w Arri Sun through said window to illuminate the space as much as possible. That was accompanied by one 650+1/2 CTB bounced into a card above the mirrors and a second 650+1/2 CTB above the urinals. The guys moved in the space, getting up in each other’s faces; the HMI did wonders and the 650s just kept the ambience up. The dolly push down the shower stalls was lit with the same Arri Sun through grid cloth outside the opposite window, while a 650 created a slight pool of light coming from the stall that Deluca follows Ramiro into. The 7219 really gave us the ability to shoot these interiors at a nice 2/2.8 split rated at 320.
