Potatoes are usually demonized as a fattening carb source due to the numerous ways they can be turned into junk food, as well as having a high glycemic index, which means nothing as far as fat gain is concerned. Baked potatoes score by far the highest on the satiety index- in other words X number of baked potato calories will keep you full longer than X number of calories from anything else. # Potatoes should not be defined by the French fry, nor should they be defined by a loaded twice baked potato or some other insanely delicious but pant stretching creation. One full pound of Idaho potatoes is about 78g carbs, 9g protein, 0g fat, for a total of 350 calories. 4 oz of uncooked pasta is 400 calories by comparison. # When you're meal prepping, get a big bag of potatoes, any kind you choose. Different colors have different vitamin and mineral profiles so eat a variety. Chop them up into cubes, spray a baking pan with zero calorie spray, toss em on the sheet. Spray the potatoes with some spray and season with whatever you like. Bake at 400 for 40 minutes. This should literally take a few minutes just to chop them up and if you get a variety you can easily be eating a totally different taste for your carb source each day 🥔🥔🥔

As we start week 2, one of the things that I noticed many complaining about and I had to address and I chose to also share on here as well is, how starting something new that pushes you out of your comfort can make you so uncomfortable and whiny 😏 . But that’s what Real Change requires, you cannot expect to stick to the Habits you currently have and expect different results, it doesn’t work like that Willis! 🤦🏻‍♀️ . Meal Prepping can be challenging at first, here’s why, -it’s something new that you are adding to your daily routine . -can take a few hours of your day to do . -you are going to feel overwhelmed and defeated by the many things you have to prepare and also pack . -if you don’t have support and guidance on what to eat will make it more frustrating . But here’s the good thing about it, . -if you prepare for an entire week you don’t have to worry again about going back to the kitchen again until then . -you are prepare to face your day and it takes the stress on what and when to eat . -you save shit load of money and have spare time during the week to focus on other things . I have been doing this CONSISTENTLY for 4 years now, and at first it was a little overwhelming, but when you have the right support and guidance and they Help you on how to do it, little by little it becomes easier and you start to appreciate the spare time you have now to do other things, if you truly want to Succeed at Losing Weight and Maintaining it, unless you have a Personal Chef at your disposal everyday, Meal Prepping is the way to go! . Meal prep - this week I made taco bowls 🥣with - taco meat and salsa, rice and sautéed vegetables. I cooked some grass fed beef with some taco seasoning 🌮, poured some salsa on top and added the other ingredients to the glass containers. Currently I’m doing a eating plan that consists of wasting carbs in the first 3 meals of the day, the last 3 meals consist of no carbs. When I say carbs, I mean carbs such as yams, rice, etc. That being said for my meal (3): Half a cooked chicken breast sliced A hand full of pre cooked sweet potatoes About 1 cup of mushrooms . Threw it all together in a pan with a little coconut oil and BAM💥 . . MEAL PREP! It’s so important. Even if you meal prep a bunch of veggies and meats and you don’t know what your going to do with them, if they are pre cooked it’s so much easier to just throw it all in a pan and make a quick stir fry! #mealprepideas #mealprep #fitmeals #lowcarb #happylife #healthylife #fitness #dieting #carbcycling
