- Oh 2017.... you’ve been my best friend & worst enemy, but then again this year I’ve been the exact same thing to myself.... I could not be more thankful for this year, it’s been full of life challenges but this is also the first year that I’ve truly found myself, the first time I’ve ever been confident, not only in my body but in my entire self. This year I found self love, self respect & I learned that it’s completely okay to be selfish, it’s okay to walk away from people who no longer vibe with you, it’s okay to let people go who are not on your wave length & whose energy does not align with your own. It is OK to outgrown people. It is OK to put yourself first. Last year if someone were to ask me where I thought I would be in a year, this is definitely the opposite of what I would have imagined. I’ve finally found myself, happiness & loyalty. I’ve found my love & passion for the mountains, adventures, modeling & photography. I’ve found a passion for promoting & advocating for self love, body love, self healing, & spiritual connections. I could not be more proud of the woman I have become & I am so fucking stoked to see what this next year brings me. 2017 you taught me a lot but adios motherfucker. 2018, I welcome you with open, loving arms, this year is gonna be my bitch - Stay wild moon child🖤 •

7 years ago my friend told me to make the habit of looking in the mirror and say nice things myself and I thought she was crazy. 7 years later, my daily routine is full of self-affirming mantras so that I can finally undo years of negative thought patterns. Don’t wait - if you have a hard time saying nice things to yourself, you’re not alone. It’s taken me years and a whole lot of comedy writing classes to get to where I am today. If you find to look yourself in the mirror and honestly say, “I love you” to the person staring back, don’t fret. Take it day by day. Start by listening to a song that uplifts you. Read other people’s mantras and affirmations until you can come up with one on your own. Or just shower yourself with the same compliments you shower Beyoncé with. All of Its as good a start as any.
