On the other hand, Kizer has completed 81 of 159 passes for 851 yards, 3 touchdowns and 9 interceptions, in 5 starts. - In a year where the Browns were expected to take a step forward, the team currently sits at 0-6, the team is going back to the rookie in hopes of breaking that streak. - #ClevelandBrowns #Browns #Cleveland #DeShoneKizer #Kizer #KevinHogan #Titans #sportsnews #breakingnews #instasports #sports #news #NFL #football #nflscoop

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is set to undergo surgery on the broken collarbone he suffered in yesterday’s game. This decision is likely to end his season. Rodgers took a hit by Vikings’ LB Anthony Barr in the first quarter of Sunday’s game, leaving the game and later being diagnosed with the broken collarbone. - Packers HC Mike McCarthy expressed his displeasure with the hit saying it was “totally unnecessary”. Unnecessary, possibly, Illegal, no. - The Packers now move forward with backup Brett Hundley as the starting quarterback, and have signed Joe Callahan to the active roster. The injury to Rodgers also leaves the NFC North wide open, with Minnesota now possibly being the favourites. - #GreenBayPackers #Packers #GreenBay #AaronRodgers #Rodgers #Vikings #sportsnews #breakingnews #instasports #sports #news #NFL #football #nflscoop

The Oakland Raiders have signed LB NaVorro Bowman to a $3-million contract that covers the remainder of the season. Bowman was released by the 49ers on Friday in what was his eighth season with the team. - Bowman was once considered an elite linebacker, however injuries have held him back. Bowman missed the entire 2014 season with a knee injury, bounced-back in 2015 with an All-Pro season, missed the majority of the 2016 season with a torn Achilles and has been off to a slow start this year. Despite the possible questions surrounding Bowman, he represents an upgrade for the Raiders, who were struggling at the linebacker position. - The veteran linebacker did generate strong interest from the Cowboys on the open market, while the Saints attempted to trade for him prior to his release. He will likely see the majority of his playing time come in run stopping situations, while being subbed off during obvious passing situations. - #OaklandRaiders #Raiders #Oakland #NaVorroBowman #Bowman #contract #49ers #Cowboys #sportsnews #breakingnews #instasports #sports #news #NFL #football #nflscoop

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater has officially been cleared to practice for the first time since his terrible 2016 knee injury. Bridgewater has a meeting, this morning, with the doctor that performed the surgery and he’s been given the go ahead. - The Vikings have a three week window to either activate the quarterback off the PUP list or shut him down for the season. As of now, reports indicate Minnesota will likely activate him by next week. His return couldn’t come at a better time for the Vikings, due to the uncertainty surrounding Bradford’s knee. - The long road to recovery for Bridgewater is finally coming to a close. After over a year of rehab, and many believing he would never return, he seems set to return to the field. Upon his return, it’s unknown wether Case Keenum will remain the starter or wether the team will opt to start Bridgewater. - #MinnesotaVikings #Vikings #Minnesota #TeddyBridgewater #Bridgewater #sportsnews #breakingnews #instasports #sports #news #NFL #football #nflscoop

According to reports, Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant has requested a trade from the team. Reports say that coaches and teammates know Bryant isn’t happy. The request was given several weeks ago. - Coming off a year long suspension that saw him miss the entire 2016 season, Bryant was expected to come back to a prominent role. It’s been the opposite. Bryant has seen his role diminished due to the emergence of players such as rookie JuJu Smith-Schuster. This season, Bryant has 15 receptions for 204 yards and a score. - Despite these reports, the Steelers reportedly don’t have the intention to trade him at this time. Bryant is in the final year of his rookie contract. - #PittsburghSteelers #Steelers #Pittsburgh #MartavisBryant #Bryant #contract #freeagent #trade #sportsnews #breakingnews #instasports #sports #news #NFL #football #nflscoop

The Oakland Raiders and long time kicker Sebastian Janikowski could be on the verge of separating. - The Raiders reportedly asked Janikowski to rework his contract that is set to pay him $4 million this upcoming season, but he declined. According to NFL insider Adam Schefter the situation could be resolved by Tuesday with the contract being reworked or the team moving on. If Janikowski remains on the roster at 4 pm EST on Saturday, his contract becomes fully guaranteed. The 2000 first-round pick went 29/35 good enough for a 82.9 field goal percentage last season. He also went 37-of-39 on extra points. - Oakland brought in Mike Nugent, Josh Lambo and Marshall Koehn for a workout on Monday as they look for a possible replacement for Janikowski. All three were cut after losing the kicker competition with their old team. - #OaklandRaiders #Raiders #Oakland #SebastianJanikowski #Janikowski #sportsnews #breakingnews #instasports #sports #news #NFL #football #nflscoop

More of today's news around football - 1. Washington Redskins S Su'a Cravens was placed on the exempt/left squad list. News broke this morning that Cravens has been contemplating retirement, however the team has talked him out of it for now. He will be forced to miss the first month of the season. - 2. The Chicago Bears have waived RB Jeremy Langford. Langford was the starting back at one point for the Bears, however injuries pushed him down the depth chart and quickly fell out of favour. At only 25, he is sure to get another shot somewhere. - 3. The New Orleans Saints have released veteran FB John Kuhn. The move was made to clear a spot for a player claimed off waivers. This is expected to be temporary with the team likely to re-sign him soon. - 4. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have traded S J.J. Wilcox and a 2019 seventh-round pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers, in exchange for a 2018 sixth-round picks. The Buccaneers signed Wilcox this offseason, but the signing of Ward made him expandable. He now heads to Pittsburgh as the Steelers make yet another move to address their secondary. - 5. Florida State QB Deondre Francois has been diagnosed with a torn patella tendon in his knee and will miss the entire season. He suffered the injury late in last night's game against Alabama. This is a big blow to a Seminoles team that had a real chance at the College football playoffs. Freshman James Blackman is expected to start in his place. - #Redskins #Bears #Saints #Buccaneers #Steelers #FloridaState #SuaCravens #JeremyLangford #JohnKuhn #JJWilcox #DeondreFrancois #sportsnews #breakingnews #instasports #sports #news #NFL #football #nflscoop

The Buffalo Bills have surprisingly released RB Jonathan Williams. He was expected to serve as backup to McCoy. - Williams was selected in the fifth-round of the 2016 draft. He spent his entire rookie season behind LeSean McCoy and offseason departure Mike Gillislee, limiting his playing time. Williams managed 94 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries last season. Williams showed his potential this preseason, rushing for 121 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries in three games. He is viewed as a high upside back and is likely to land on another roster. - As for the Bills, it's unclear whether they will bring in another back or have one of the veterans already on the roster serve as backup. - The Bills have also released LB Gerald Hodges and WR Philly Brown - #BuffaloBills #Bills #Buffalo #JonathanWilliams #Williams #GeraldHodges #PhillyBrown #release #freeagent #contract #sportsnews #breakingnews #instasports #sports #news #NFL #football #nflscoop
