This. Every morning. We wake up, head straight to the table (well...after diaper change and coffee), eat breakfast and do Morning Basket. I asked Matt to snap this a few days ago because I never want to forget. Life has been in-sane lately trying to juggle motherhood, being a wife, running Let’s Play School and Bitty Beginnings...while homeschooling. There are never enough hours for any of it. I want to do all the things. I want to do all the things 100%. 150%. I’m like a crazy squirrel running around all day (and night) gathering and doing and creating pile after pile of to-do’s. It’s been crazy! But in the morning, when it is Morning Basket time, it’s quiet and clear and calm and there is peace. Well, except on the days when Lucy was up every hour the night before because no amount of coffee can help that - really. But, we do this. Every morning. My phone is away. My computer is away. My laminator and paper cutter are away. All the things are away and it’s just us. Us and books and so much good. I can feel Lilly Belle trying to keep me here longer each day because she knows she has me 100%. I need to find a balance. I need a schedule. Let’s Play School has taken off in a way we never expected and I just need to find that balance so I’m not missing any of this right here. I know I’ll figure it out and it’s all a learning curve. I’m so glad Matt got this picture because it’s the best reminder for me of what is really important and why I am staying home with the girls and why we are homeschooling and why I️ started Let’s Play School. So I don’t miss out on them, so we are together - because above all, at the end of the day, it’s family!
