“We live in a box of space and time. Movies and television are windows in its walls. They allow us to enter other minds, not simply in the way of identifying with the characters, although that’s an important part of it, but by seeing the world as another person sees it.” Roger Ebert
"I just don't believe my small change will make a difference." "They will probably spend it on drugs. I don't want to support that." "There are plenty of services supporting homeless people, these people don't want help." "I find it confronting to be asked for money." "I'm a student, I would love to give money, but I just can't afford to." "I'm just in a rush, so I'll do it next time." At some point, I've made one of these excuses to justify my actions of walking straight past another human being, living and seeking help on the streets. It's not good enough. These justifications are not enough. I can do better. Can you?
What do you think about when you're walking past a person on the street? What holds you back? What can we do to change our neglectful patterns and reduce homelessness?
Love this from @graylabelstore. Why let society tell you how beautiful you are?! You were created in the most intricate, thought out and precious way // YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL // Tell yourself that daily. Too many people are smashed by society for what they think is beautiful but they are wrong! I was sooooo angry that recently the media wanted Tiffany Hall to do a bounced back baby body story or whatever in like 6 weeks!! She turned it down. How is that an inspiration to everyday regular women that are having babies?!?! How does that inspire those going through mental health issues! Every women is BEAUTIFUL no matter what society sees. See the beauty in everything and see it in yourself. You were created for greatness, start to see it! These aren't our eternal bodies anyway, at the 2nd coming we will get brand new ones 🦋 Treat your self lovely one with respect and kindness 🦋 YOU ARE WORTH It!
