ELZHI & KHRYSIS ARE JERICHO JACKSON RATING - 9/10
This is the best rap album of 2018 so far. The combination of Elzhi and Khrysis provide a project that has Elzhi spitting raw, hard hitting bars whilst he’s backed by the enthralling beats of Khrysis, an established MC of the past decade.
Elzhi has the voice reminiscent to a young Illmatic Nas. He uses his talents to boast about his lyrical ability, that was overlooked by some on his previous project, on songs such as ‘Self Made’ which also shows a new found confidence after his battle with depression. We also see a slightly introspective side of the Detroit rapper on ‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S.’ as he discusses friends who would later turn enemies and would proceed to stab him in the back.
Khrysis was able to execute the East Coast boom bap beat, providing an fine project for fans and doubters with the help of Elzhi, who was able to establish himself once again as a top tier lyricist. IMO, this is best rap album we’ve gotten this year as of yet. There’s no flaws in this albums to pick out, and I for one would like to see another project from these two of this calibre. I highly recommend giving this one a listen
