A program is never great without constant assessment. I made a simple assessment that involves movement, proprioception, and endurance. It can also be a tool for diagnosing injuries or movement faults. My goal was to make a basic assessment that would be convienent for weekly use. It's great to have goals, but where are we now? In my opinion, constant assessment saves time in treatment and overall efficiency. I didn't add specific strength tests because its not specified for a single individual rather a comprehensive test for people striving for mobility, strength, body composition, or all of the above. All in all, I'm just a 19 year old obsessed with #fitness whose just trying to make a living through my passion. I know it's not perfect, it never will be. Any comments is greatly appreciated. #sportsmedicine #assessment #fitnessassessment #consistency #injury #prehab #prevention #obsession #sports # fitness #exercise #performance #rehabilitation #health #strivingforperfection #movement #proprioception #msword #excel #힘들다 #어려움

👨🏻‍⚕️🐊 #Repost @jessephysio_ (@get_repost) ・・・ Do you get headaches❓🤕 - Do you find that you get an ache, often described as a throbbing or band like sensation at the back or front of your head? - Does it get worse with computer use, texting, or reading? - And let me guess, does your neck always feel stiff and tight? Do you feel like it just needs a "good stretch"? - Did you know that some type of headaches can actually be caused by tension in the neck? 🤔 - The top joints in your neck along with the small suboccipital muscles that connect from the back of the skull to the back of the neck can refer pain into the head which can be described as a cervicogenic headache - Clinical tests can help determine if in fact your neck is causing your headaches. - What can be done?!? - Soft tissue release to those small muscles at the back of the neck, upper cervical spine mobilization/manipulation, postural education, and specific exercises targeted at the muscles at both the front and back of the neck can be very helpful. - The key 🔑 is knowing what aggravates your headaches and working on easy ways to mitigate those factors. - There are many other causes of headaches that include diet, stress, vestibular, or vascular issues that a physiotherapist is uniquely trained to be able to assess and make the appropriate referral. - - #torontophysio #headaches #neckpain #tension #manualtherapy #exercise #bestpostureusthenextposture #diagnosis #sportsmedicine #synergysportsmedicine #physiotherapy #painrelief

#Repost @thefootcollective ・・・ Heel pain comes in many different forms. Healthcare professionals tend to be very good at putting a specific label/diagnosis on the issue (Achilles tendonosis/tendonitis, plantar fasciitis etc) but not very good at explaining why it happens. Many cases of heel pain start because of excess tension in the myofascial system (always an underlying reason for this). As you can see, the Achilles' tendon spans down to the heel, but the tissue continues and becomes the plantar fascia, creating a sling effect around the heel. If this system of tissue is carrying too much tension, problems/pain can arise around the heel. Do your part and make sure your tissue are healthy and moving well. And more importantly, address the root cause of this excess tension. ------------------- #walking #foot #alignment #posture #feet #balance #painfree #footpain #Physiotherapy #Osteopathy #Fisio #Physio #Therapy #Rehab #Fitness #Training #Sportsmedicine #Yoga #Pilates #CrossFit #Rehab #Stretching #Gym #Sport #Muscle #Pain #Massage #Treatment #Fisioterapia #Health #Stretching #Sport

Excessive tightness of any musculotendon unit(s) around the knee joint can pull the patella out of alignment causing knee, hip and even back pain. Applying cups in the direction of patella pull can help loosen tight tissues, improve patella position, patella tracking, reduce pain and improve function. Great adjuncts: Joint mobs, stretching and HEP's that strengthen muscles in the opposite direction will help to return the patella to proper alignment. *Pic shows multi-direction cupping for demo purposes. #kneepain #stairssuck #squatgirls #squatshurt #kneecaps #stronglegs #stronglegsstrongbody #stairclimbing #cuppingtherapy #sportslife #badknees #badkneessuck #sportsmedicine #sportsmassage #sportsmassagetherapist #alignmentissues #patellartendon #patellatendon #muscletightness #musclesandtendons #stairsarehard #squatsarehard #kneepainsucks #kneecaps
