Happy Saturday! 💕 Not much to say today other than 1️⃣ idk what I was doing in this pic (maybe trying to dab? 🤔😂) & 2️⃣ I want to share a a quick story of what happened to me today 👇🏻 ___ So today, just a few mins ago, I received news about an opportunity. 🙏🏻 I had the choice to say yes or no. While it would've been much easier for me to say no bc it's going to make my schedule and Day rushed/unpredictable, I said yes. But why would I inflict this unneeded pressure on myself?! 🙆🏻I said yes bc the old me would've said no. I said yes bc, with new opportunities, we have have to be willing to let go of the past, let that door shut, in order to make room for the new door that's opening and creating our future self - even if we are terrified of that! ✨ Bc ya know what? Do you use a Heart Rate monitor during your training sessions? If not, do you know the benefits to using one? . . I’ve been using a heart rate monitor for a few years now. I truly believe it has played a major part in my fitness journey. Here’s why: . . ✔️ A heart rate monitor can help you find and maintain the right training intensity depending on your goals. It also can help measure your effort while training. Once you know both your resting and maximum heart rate you can then find your targets zones. These zones will signify whether your training session was light, moderate, or hard. For example, during most of my weight training days I try to keep my heart rate 160-170 bpm. This ensures my training intensity is moderate to hard. This allows me to get the most benefits out of my training! . . ✔️ Measuring your heart rate can also ensure Saftey and not over training. For example. If your heart rate during your training is higher than normal, it might signify that you need rest or that your overtraining. You should not be going over your max heart rate. . . How could you monitor your heart rate? There are many heart rate sensors on the market today. Most of them will calculate your resting heart rate, max heart rate, and target zones. I personally use the Polar A370 and the Polar A300 combines with the H7 heart rate monitor! . . There are so many benefits to monitoring your heart rate during training. I went through relaxed and mandatory poses in one live video and posted it up raw and unedited. As I said posing hasn't been practiced for over 18 months so gimme a break on that one please! I think all those in the know in bodybuilding will appreciate that this is the true way to display an update. Filters and absurd lighting etc just blur and paint a false picture of what is going on. I owe this back double biceps pose to @the_eliteosteo he knows the problems I have had contracting my right lat over the last few years. I can now hit symmetrical back poses for the first time since 2012! I feel confident now to throw my hat in with the best if I am fortunate enough to qualify for a finals this year. Restricted ROM?
