I have always been fascinated by life, how people choose to live it, the inner workings of the intricate mind, the power of passion and the depth of love. The heart & the head are the strongest controlling factors of facing fears, of allowing yourself to go forth, of being able to be open to everything.
The psychology major in me will always analyze while the yogi in me tries to let things be but the human in me can’t help but remind the human in you that whatever you are going through, whatever struggle you have, someone, including myself, has shared it. It’s natural to not know, to loose control, to be afraid but you have the choice to learn to TRUST. Life is happening and things will happen that are beyond measure (good & “bad” or real) that will stretch your head & your heart to its limits but have faith that everything happens for a reason and everyone is placed perfectly for you at the right time for the right reason.
Belief will bring back the power & strength to remind you there is nothing but fate at play. The coincidences may make no sense now, they may even bother you but they will all make sense one day. Stop getting lost in the what if and start letting the what is occur.
Life is one big puzzle slowly being pieced together...as complicated & difficult as it seems in this moment I promise you when it’s done it will be beautiful and complete. .
Thank you to the beautiful humans who I’ve connected with recently that inspire & remind me daily! #weareinthistogether

Choose someone that will uplift you. The world is difficult enough, home shouldn't.
In July 2016, #FearlesslyFRIDA embarked on its second chapter of exploring coloring outside the lines of the body. This journey began in South Africa with Fearless Collective collaborating with two local organizations, @1in9_campaign, formed as a response to the Zuma trial, and @insta_holaa Both organizations work to document and showcase the lives of women and their stories, supporting women through the process of reporting sexual crimes and moving through justice systems. Through intimate workshops and rituals, together they explored dual ideas of “pure” and “impure” unpacking what it means when it is sued in the context of a body, especially a woman's body. Seen in the images are also people from the FRIDA team--staff member @boikanyo__ and former staff member Jessica, participating in the workshop. Unfortunately, in October same year, Khwezi , whose struggle was a major inspiration behind the mural, passed away on October 8, 2016. Before her passing, Fezeka had been a symbol to all women fighting for justice of sexual assault victims as is evident with the rallying call ‘My Kanga is not an invitation’ which formed a core part of this project. The mural stands strong in Johannesburg reminding us to not feel shameful about what we wear, how we look and the body we own. "I wear my body without shame."
