@TIME delivered just what I needed this morning. Soon after Trump was elected to office a friend and I were groped at a bar. When we called the guy out on it he responded with, “2017 isn’t going to be about you.” To him and anyone else who believes that, women (and men who have been harassed) will not be silenced. We have every intention of fighting for our rights and respect. We are human beings so start treating us like it. • • • • • • #wcw #timepersonoftheyear #timepersonoftheyear2017 #timemagazine #thesilencebreakers #womenforwomen #makewaves #metoo #timepoy #timepoy2017 #ashleyjudd #adamaiwu #taylorswift #megynkelly #rosemcgowan #alyssamilano #terrycrews #selmablair #wendywalsh #saragelser #feminism #feminist #respect #stopsexualharassment #taranaburke #gif #handlettering #design #girlpower

Given what the year has been like for women with the multitude of sexual harassment scandals, December 6th becomes even more symbolic and more important to remember. In Montreal 28 years ago, over 60 female engineering students were shot, and 14 killed, by a man who sought to fight feminism. Today, we are reminded that we all have a responsibility to recognize and actively work to put an end to all forms of violence against women. 30 years since the massacre, misogyny and gender-based violence still persist. In the 1980s, sexual harassment was added to the Human Rights Code and judged by courts as gender discrimination. Since then there have been many cases of violence and sexual harassment brought to focus and scrutiny, from the Jian Ghomeshi scandal in 2014 to the Harvey Weinstein scandal this year. Recently we have seen a domino-effect of people coming forward to end the silence. In recognition, Time magazine has named "The Silence Breakers," representing people who came forward to report sexual misconduct, as its Person of the Year. Remembering the past, we must consider our roles today, as men and women. Any and all discrimination - whether it be gender, race, religion, sexual orientation - is unacceptable. There is still much work to do to putting an end to it! #NKPov

There is something special about Irish walled gardens -soft, organised but not heavily structured or regimented places. This one has a real end of summer feel to it. #irishgarden #walledgarden #burtownhouseandgardens #countykildare #endofsummer #kitchengarden #farmtotable #ireland #artistsgarden #lesleyfennell #wendywalsh #jamesfennell #thegreenbarn
