Sometimes life gets us turned all upside down & inside out - things feel confused, chaotic, in disorder.
As a mom, I often feel pulled in so many directions. I can let a lot of "fluff" compete with the things most dear to me, complicating my life, & then I stop taking care of me. Then all of a sudden, it's that "upside down & inside out" feeling.
In the craziness, if I allow myself to pause - to bend & stretch - I find myself flexible enough to turn back over & stand up straight, & able to prioritize & conquer the necessary, important tasks.
But you have to be intentional about organizing & simplifying your life. It's not about perfection, it's about doing what matters most & not getting distracted by the rest.
In April, I will be virtually going through the book Grace Not Perfection with a group of ladies who want to make their health & fitness a priority. We'll be looking at simplifying our lives & routines to make room for what matters most.
I invite you to stand up & grow stronger with us. Comment below or message me.
Isn’t it amazing how God positions events, moments and people in our lives?
My sweet friend @theloriconway is reading and working through this as a study with some other women in our business. I was in the middle of another study at church as a small group leader and didn’t want to take on more than I could chew by doing two, but I’ve been “reading over her shoulder” a little bit. I LOVED everything she’s shared with me and planning on grabbing it, so in true giving form, she basically overnighted the book to me before I could order it myself.
While my social circle has gotten smaller as the years roll, its a great to be surrounded by real friends. The ones that are strong supportive and like minded.... those who lift you, love you and also let you carry them in return when needed. The true blues.
Love you Lori!! We ARE #strongerthanthestruggle & I’m blessed to have you in my life.
